Whether your child is taking their very first dance class or continuing advanced training, Fantasy Dance School provides a welcoming, inspiring, and professional environment where every student can grow with confidence.
Our comprehensive dance program welcomes students from 18 months through adults and offers training for beginners, recreational dancers, aspiring performers, and advanced dancers. Through expert instruction, progressive curriculum, creativity, and exciting performance opportunities, students develop strong technique, confidence, discipline, artistry, and a lifelong love of dance.
For over 24 years, Fantasy Dance School has proudly inspired thousands of students throughout the Bay Area. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, express themselves, and shine.

How to View Available Dance Classes
Fantasy Dance School uses the Jackrabbit Parent Portal for registration.
To view available classes:

Create your family account.

Add your student(s) with their correct date of birth.

Open the registration section.
-
Jackrabbit will automatically display all currently available classes for your student's age group.
This allows families to see only age-appropriate classes that are currently available.
Please note:

Some advanced classes require instructor approval.

Elite Competition Team and Fantasy Dance Troupe require auditions.
-
Class availability changes as classes fill.
Enrollment is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis!

Programs for Every Dancer
Whether your child dreams of becoming a ballerina, loves energetic Hip Hop, enjoys performing on stage, or simply wants to dance for fun, we have a class designed just for them.
Recreational Dance Program
Perfect for students who dance for fun, fitness, creativity, confidence, and personal growth.
Families have the flexibility to enroll in one class or multiple classes each week based on their child's interests and goals.
Our Recreational Program emphasizes quality instruction, strong technical foundations, and the joy of dance in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Our Elite Team is designed for dedicated dancers seeking advanced technical training and competitive performance opportunities.
Elite dancers participate in additional required classes, rehearsals, competitions, conventions, and performances throughout the season.
Placement is by audition and instructor recommendation.

Fantasy Dance Troupe is our nonprofit performing company that provides dancers with additional artistic, cultural, leadership, and community performance opportunities.
Members represent Fantasy Dance School at festivals, cultural celebrations, community events, showcases, and special performances.
Placement is by audition and invitation.
Age & Level Pathway
Class placement is based on age, experience, technical ability, and instructor recommendation.
Recommended Training

Ages 18 months–4 years: Flexible participation

Ages 5–6: One or two classes per week

Elite & FDT: Required classes and rehearsals based on program placement

Performance Opportunities
One of the most exciting parts of dancing is performing on stage!
Throughout the year, students have opportunities to participate in exciting performances that build confidence, stage presence, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.

Tuition and Fees
Dance is an investment in your child's education, confidence, creativity, discipline, health, and personal growth.
All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated by Fantasy Dance School.

Annual Performance Fee
$175 per family - Due with October Tuition
All students enrolled in dance classes are automatically considered participants in the Annual End-of-Year Concert.
Families who do not wish to participate must notify the FDS Office before the Performance Fee is posted.
Once charged, the Performance Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
The fee helps provide the professional-quality production families enjoy each year, including:

Concert Rehearsals
During the final two to three weeks before the Annual Concert, participating dancers attend additional mandatory rehearsals.
These rehearsal hours are included in June tuition.
As a thank-you for their dedication, Annual Concert participants receive complimentary dance classes during the final two weeks following the concert.
Costume Fees
Due January 2027

Handmade Folk Costume Usage Fee: $55
Handmade Folk Costumes remain the property of Fantasy Dance School and are returned after the performance season.
Costume fees are non-refundable once costumes have been ordered.
Families who choose not to participate in the Annual Concert must notify the office before Costume Fees are posted.
Dress Code
Proper dance attire helps students move safely, develop correct technique, and maintain a professional learning environment. Wearing the appropriate dress code also allows instructors to properly observe body alignment and provide accurate corrections.
Each dance style at Fantasy Dance School has its own required dress code, including specific attire, footwear, hairstyles, and accessories.
Dress code requirements are available on each individual dance style page and should be reviewed before attending the first class.
General Guidelines

Students should arrive dressed and ready for class.

Hair must be neatly secured away from the face. For Ballet and other designated classes, a ballet bun may be required.

Jewelry should be kept to a minimum for safety.

Dance shoes should be clean and worn only inside the studio.

Students who arrive without proper attire or footwear may be asked to observe class or participate only as the instructor deems appropriate.
If you have questions about the required attire for your child's class, our office is happy to help you select the appropriate dancewear and shoes.

Class schedules may be adjusted based on enrollment and instructor availability.

Classes with insufficient enrollment may be combined, rescheduled, or canceled.

Alternative class options will be offered whenever possible.

Instructor assignments are subject to change without prior notice.

Students may be moved to a different level if instructors determine another class is more appropriate.

Additional rehearsals may be required for performances.

Elite Competition Team and Fantasy Dance Troupe require additional training, rehearsals, performances, competitions, and commitment.

Performance Fees and Costume Fees are non-refundable once charged.
