SCHOOL COMMUNICATIONS
Email is FDS’s primary communication source and keeps accounts informed and up to date on regular school happenings. Please add info@fantasydance.us to your list of contacts ASAP to ensure you receive important school information that will be sent via email after registration. FDS Facebook and Instagram Sites are also used to communicate important information to our dance families. Please take a moment to connect with FDS social media accounts, Fantasy Dance School on Facebook and Instagram.
CREDIT CARD ON ACCOUNT
-
All accounts must maintain an active credit card on file.
-
Cards on file will be charged by parents' requests on the first of each month for account balances owed. Cards on file will not be charged if the account balance is paid prior to the first day of the month via cash or check.
-
Beginning June 18th, 2022, all credit card payments made through Studio Director will be subject to a 3.5% additional merchant fee charge.
-
A valid credit card must be on file for every family at all times.
-
Starting June 18th, 2022, families have the option to pay by cash or check made out to Fantasy Dance School by or on the 1st of each month for tuition.
PAYMENT BEHAVIOR
-
All Registration Fees at the start of enrollment must be paid via credit card (with a 3.5% surcharge) through Studio Director online accounts before a student can begin classes and programs. When families pay online, we offer autopay and one-time payment options.
-
Families cannot take themselves off autopay. Please contact the office to remove the autopay plan.
-
Families can pay online any amount of the account balance.
-
Families have the options to pay with Cash/Check at The Office or credit with the Card on File.
-
FDS now accepts payments through Zelle. If you have an interest in making one-time payments through Zelle, please contact our office.
If you wish to pay a balance in advance, you may log on to your online account to do so at any time.
FEES DUE UPON REGISTRATION
-
New Family Registration Fee: $75 per student or $125 per family
-
Returning Family Registration Fee: $50 per student or $90 per family
The registration fee covers the cost of insurance and administrative processing fees. This fee is a NON-REFUNDABLE PAYMENT. If your family would like to take time off, a student's spot in class cannot be held without tuition for that time. By stopping tuition, students can lose their spot in class, and that spot becomes available for students on the waiting list. If the class fills up and enrollment is closed, it will not be possible for the student to return with their spot unless tuition is paid during that time off. All Registration is online, and a current CREDIT CARD MUST BE ON FILE.
NOTE: FDS must receive a completed registration form, registration fee, and the first month's tuition before your child's enrollment into any of our programs.
TUITION
-
Tuition is due by the 1st of each month and considered past due after the 3rd.
-
FDS runs on a calendar month, which means that the tuition remains the same whether there are 3, 4, or 5 classes in that month.
-
Tuition is divided into 11 equal payments (Mid-August to Mid-June) for your convenience, regardless of the number of weeks in a month, missed lessons, school closings, or school vacations.
DISCOUNT
10% Discount for additional Siblings/Parents. To apply the tuition discount for an additional Sibling/Parent, the new student must have equal (or fewer classes) per week than the first student.
ADDITIONAL YEARLY FEES FOR ALL DANCE CLASSES

~ All pictures and a video of the FDS’s end-of-the-year performance in digital format.
~ All extra rehearsal times outside of class times held at Fantasy Dance School
~ All stage and dress rehearsals held at the theater
* Please note that the event center where our concert will be held may handle tickets and purchases in a different way, so tickets will not be included in this performance fee to cover the additional costs of stage and dress rehearsal at this theater.

ADDITIONAL SCHOOL POLICIES
School Withdrawal: To withdraw a student from a class or enrollment altogether, an email request 25-Day Written: "Drop Class Notice" must be sent to info@fantasydance.us by the 25th of the month in order for tuition not to be charged the following month. Tuition refunds will not be given after tuition is paid. Families may withdraw from classes or the school at any time during the dance year. *Yet, should be mindful of non-refundable tuition and fees.
Refunds: There are no refunds for registration fees, tuition, costume fees, or performance fees FOR ANY REASON. All payments are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE. There are no tuition reductions for students that go out of town or become ill.
Late Payments: Late accounts will receive a notice via email and a ten-day grace period prior to being charged a late fee. If the account is not brought to a zero balance after ten days, a $30 late fee or 5% finance charge (whichever is greater) will be assessed, and the service of classes will be discontinued until the account balance is paid in full. Accounts that carry a balance 60 days past due will be inactivated and sent to collections.
Non-sufficient funds (NSF) Fee: If there are insufficient funds through the credit card on file or if we receive notice that a check bounces, families will be required to make another form of payment immediately. Students may not be able to participate in activities until another form of payment is provided, and balances are paid. Families will also be charged an additional $30 fee (NSF fee) on top of our late payment fees.
Make-up Policy: There are NO MAKE-UP classes for missed classes. No refunds will be issued for missed classes for any reason. It is imperative to your child's success that this program is viewed as a serious commitment.
Late Pick-up Fee: If a student is not picked up within 15 minutes of their last class, a $15 late pick-up fee will be assessed, followed by an additional $5 for every 5 minutes after. Since FDS’s lobby will remain closed, it will be critical to uphold this policy to maintain the safety of our dancers.

Class Size
The average class size (6 years old and up) has 10-14 students, and (3-5 years old) has 8-10 students. We must have a minimum of 8 registered students in order to hold a class!
Placement
Class Levels: If your student has experience, but you are unsure of his/her level, please give us a call to schedule a tryout class. If a teacher determines that a student is at an incorrect level at the start of the session, the student may be transferred to the appropriate class at that time.
Attendance Policy
Our classes run from August-December for the Fall session and January-June for the Spring session. To best support your child's training, CONSISTENT ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED.
If your child has a planned absence, written documentation must be emailed to info@fantasydance.us prior to the event.
For their safety, your child will not be able to participate in class if they arrive more than 15 minutes late. They must observe the class and take notes. This will be strictly enforced.
Rehearsal Policy
* For all performing classes:
It is your responsibility to be aware of all rehearsals your dancer needs to be. FDS sends out multiple emails regarding scheduling for rehearsals. Your student will be expected to be present at all rehearsals their classes are called for. If you miss 2 or more rehearsals, you risk being taken out of the performance. This decision will be according to Artistic Director/ Teacher discretion. If you know you will be absent for one or more rehearsals, please coordinate with the office as soon as possible.
Private Conference
If you have questions or comments, please call us at any time at (650) 965-4135.
