The FDS Pre-K Program, "Rising Stars," offers a thoughtfully designed curriculum that fosters your child's holistic growth and development. With a focus on dance, creative movement, gymnastics, music, art, imaginative play, reading, writing, math, and science, we provide an ideal balance of learning and fun. Each week, our program incorporates a thematic approach to social studies, seamlessly blending it with academic subjects and social-emotional learning activities to create a unique, engaging, and enriching educational experience.

Our program blends art, music, social studies, dance, gymnastics, science, math, reading, writing, and lots of imagination. By engaging both sides of the brain, we help your child develop essential skills while fostering a true love of learning.

Pre-K Program Schedule: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

9:00 AM – 9:15 AM: Welcome & Morning Circle

Start the day with cheerful songs, light stretching, and a preview of the fun ahead. Students will engage in gentle dance warm-ups to boost energy and focus.

9:15 AM – 9:30 AM: Imaginative Play & Problem-Solving

Through role-playing, creative building, and teamwork, students will enhance their imagination and problem-solving skills in a playful and collaborative setting.

9:30 AM – 9:50 AM: Dance Discovery

A fun-filled dance session that encourages creativity, coordination, and self-expression. Students will explore various dance styles with storytelling, rhythm, and music.

9:50 AM – 10:10 AM: Gymnastics & Movement

Active gymnastics, including jumps, rolls, and balancing exercises, to build strength, flexibility, and gross motor skills in a fun, structured environment.

10:10 AM – 10:20 AM: Snack & Social Time

A healthy snack break allows kids to relax, chat, and bond with their peers in a comfortable, social setting.

10:20 AM – 10:40 AM: Creative Arts & Music

A combination of art and music activities where students create hands-on projects followed by music exploration, incorporating singing, rhythm, and instrument play.

10:40 AM – 11:00 AM: STEM Exploration

Fun and interactive STEM activities like simple science experiments and math games foster curiosity, critical thinking, and discovery.

11:00 AM – 11:20 AM: Music & Rhythm

A music-filled session focusing on rhythm, singing, and simple instrument play. Students will build on dance skills through rhythm and sound exercises.

11:20 AM – 11:40 AM: Gymnastics & Physical Play

Guided gymnastics and physical games that promote strength, coordination, and spatial awareness while encouraging teamwork and building confidence.

11:40 AM – 11:50 AM: Storytime & Literacy

A calm Storytime session where students enjoy engaging stories and participate in early reading and writing activities to nurture literacy skills.

11:50 AM – 12:00 PM: Cool Down

End the day with soothing stretches and breathing exercises. Reflect on the day’s activities, followed by a warm farewell as students prepare for dismissal.

This structure ensures a well-rounded experience filled with creativity, movement, learning, and fun!

Drop-in ... $35/hour

FEES DUE UPON REGISTRATION

A NON-REFUNDABLE $175 registration per student is due at enrollment. This fee covers administrative costs and insurance and can serve as a "Waiting List Fee."

MATERIAL FEE

A NON-REFUNDABLE $200 materials fee is due upon registration. This fee is structured to cover the cost of materials and supplies used throughout the 8-month program, equating to $25 per month. The Material fee is a mandatory payment. Parents and guardians are reminded that this fee ensures the continued provision of high-quality materials and resources essential for the diverse range of activities and projects that make our after-school program enriching and enjoyable for all students.

The FDS Pre-K "Rising Stars" operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

SIGN-IN/SIGN-OUT

Parent(s) must sign in and sign out their student daily.
Only individuals listed on the Enrollment Form can sign in and sign out the student.
An ID, such as a driver's license is required.
