🎭 Annual Concert 2026 "A Whole New World... A Dance Adventure"
Step into a world of magic, mystery, and movement as Fantasy Dance School presents "A Whole New World... A Dance Adventure" Production. From the bustling streets of Agrabah to the dazzling majesty of magic lamps, carpets, and genies, our students will take you on a journey filled with laughter, spectacle, and heart.
This production will feature dancers of all ages and levels, coming together to tell a story full of adventure, humor, and unforgettable stage moments.

Commitment
The Annual Concert is a commitment. This includes a commitment to be in classes weekly to learn, clean, and practice dances with their classmates and at ALL scheduled performances/rehearsals, including non-dress rehearsals occurring throughout the three weeks before the concert.
Rehearsal Schedules
Students are required to attend MANDATORY rehearsals: May 26th - June 12th, 2026.

Stage and Dress Rehearsal (@MVCPA) on Friday, June 12th, 2026

Non-dress rehearsals occur throughout the three weeks before the concert and are mandatory
While specific rehearsal times will be released closer to the concert, we ask families to block off the three weeks before as rehearsal days and times will differ from your original class time.
Classes may be called on different days or times, depending on the number of dances and solos and where they fall in the various scenes.
Please remember that if you participated in our previous year’s concerts, rehearsals might vary in length and times, which will include more dances, sets, and an unforgettable story coming to life.
Rehearsals will occur daily after school and may differ from your usual class times.
Absences
Any class or rehearsal absences during May and June may result in your student not performing in the show. Please be mindful when planning vacations at this time. Take this into consideration before committing to the annual show.
Concert Ticket Distribution
Tickets for A Whole New World… A Dance Adventure are now officially on sale through the MVCPA Box Office or online via their official theater website.

Please note that all ticket sales are subject to MVCPA’s ticketing policies.
✨ Families are welcome to purchase as many tickets as they need, and friends and extended family are encouraged to join us for this special event.
Costume Distribution
Costumes will initially be tried on during your student's classes to ensure they fit properly and to determine if any adjustments or alterations are necessary.
Once we complete all required alterations, costumes will be distributed to families.
Costumes will be distributed later in the school year, and detailed distribution information will be announced closer to that time.
✨ All dancers will have their costumes before Picture Day 2026, Thursday, April 30th, 2026, to ensure they are fully prepared.
Families will receive an email specifying the day and time slot for picking up their students' costumes, likely coinciding with their regular class day.
Please bring a labeled garment bag to collect your costumes during your designated time. If you need a garment bag, they are available for purchase through our FDStore.
Important Note: Once costumes are handed over to families, they should NOT BE washed. Only steaming is permitted prior to the concert to ensure costumes remain in optimal condition.
Directions and Parking to MVCPA Theatre:
PARKING: Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro Street, Mountain View, CA 94041
Parking at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts is available on a first-come, first-served basis and may be limited, particularly during peak times.
Additional free public parking is available throughout downtown Mountain View within walking distance of the theater, including lots near the Mountain View Public Library and surrounding areas.
All participants and guests are strongly encouraged to allow ample time for parking and walking to the venue to ensure timely arrival for rehearsals and performances.
Drop-off/Pick-Up Location:
At the Rehearsal Studio, located at the back of the MVCPA building.
Entrance from Mercy Street;
look out for signs representing Fantasy Dance School to guide you.

Please Do Not Arrive Late. Each group has a specific time on stage, and it is very important to arrive on time. If anyone is late, there is a chance that they will miss the opportunity to dance; moreover, rehearsal on stage may be delayed. Please understand how important it is for each student to feel comfortable on stage.

Please be prepared that the schedule might run early or late because we will be working with the theatre technicians at the same time. We appreciate your patience and collaboration.

All dancers must wear appropriate dance attire with all necessary dance shoes.

Once an FDS staff member has checked in the student, they will be led to their dressing room with their costume(s). Parents are not allowed in the theatre past check-in.

Students can be picked up on Friday (dress stage rehearsal) and Sunday (performance) at the same location they were checked in and dropped off.

On Sunday, June 14th, students will be released and dismissed in their last costume of the performance, with the exception of FDT dancers (see the Costume etiquette policy)

All FDS correspondence regarding the show and costumes is sent via email. Be sure to add info@fantasydance.us to your email address book. And be sure to have your current email address on file with the studio.
