🎭 Annual Concert 2026 "A Whole New World... A Dance Adventure"
Step into a world of magic, mystery, and movement as Fantasy Dance School presents "A Whole New World... A Dance Adventure" Production. From the bustling streets of Agrabah to the dazzling majesty of magic lamps, carpets, and genies, our students will take you on a journey filled with laughter, spectacle, and heart.
This production will feature dancers of all ages and levels, coming together to tell a story full of adventure, humor, and unforgettable stage moments.

Roles Available:

Aladdin... A poor but kind-hearted “diamond in the rough” who dreams of a better life. Playful, adventurous, and brave.

Princess Jasmine... Independent and strong-willed princess of Agrabah. Graceful and full of spirit.

Genie... Magical, comedic, larger-than-life character who brings humor and energy to the story.

Jafar... The royal vizier who craves power and schemes to take the throne. Dark, dramatic, and powerful.

Iago... Jafar’s mischievous parrot sidekick. Whimsical, sneaky, and fun for expressive character dancing.

Sultana... Jasmine’s mother, kind and bumbling but loving. A softer, gentle character.

Magic Carpet... A playful, loyal friend to Aladdin. It can be interpreted with acrobatic or whimsical dance.

Cave of Wonders Spirit... The guardian of the magical treasure appears as a giant tiger head. Mysterious and dramatic.

Narrator / Storyteller... Opens and guides the tale.
✨ Please note: Additional characters and specialty roles may be added based on auditions.
Commitment
The Annual Concert is a commitment. This includes a commitment to be in classes weekly to learn, clean, and practice dances with their classmates and at ALL scheduled performances/rehearsals, including non-dress rehearsals occurring throughout the three weeks before the concert.
Rehearsal Schedules
Students are required to attend MANDATORY rehearsals: May 26th - June 12th, 2026.

Non-dress rehearsals occur throughout the three weeks before the concert and are mandatory
While specific rehearsal times will be released closer to the concert, we ask families to block off the three weeks before as rehearsal days and times will differ from your original class time.
Classes may be called on different days or times, depending on the number of dances and solos and where they fall in the various scenes.
Please remember that if you participated in our previous year’s concerts, rehearsals might vary in length and times, which will include more dances, sets, and an unforgettable story coming to life.
Rehearsals will occur daily after school and may differ from your usual class times.
Absences
Any class or rehearsal absences during May and June may result in your student not performing in the show. Please be mindful when planning vacations at this time. Take this into consideration before committing to the annual show.
Concert Ticket Distribution
Tickets for A Whole New World... A Dance Adventure will be available through the MVCPA Box Office or online via their official theater website, following MVCPA’s ticketing policies.
Detailed ticketing information — including on-sale date, pricing, and purchasing instructions — will be released soon.
✨ Families are welcome to purchase as many tickets as they need, and friends and extended family are encouraged to join us for this special event.
Costume Distribution
Costumes will initially be tried on during your student's classes to ensure they fit properly and to determine if any adjustments or alterations are necessary.
Once we complete all required alterations, costumes will be distributed to families.
Costumes will be distributed later in the school year, and detailed distribution information will be announced closer to that time.
✨ All dancers will have their costumes before Picture Day 2026 (date TBD) to ensure they are fully prepared.
Families will receive an email specifying the day and time slot for picking up their students' costumes, likely coinciding with their regular class day.
Please bring a labeled garment bag to collect your costumes during your designated time. If you need a garment bag, they are available for purchase through our FDStore.
Important Note: Once costumes are handed over to families, they should NOT BE washed. Only steaming is permitted prior to the concert to ensure costumes remain in optimal condition.
