Ms. Alexandra "Sasha" Gutman

Ms. Alexandra "Sasha" Gutman is an award-winning choreographer, instructor, adjudicator, and graduate of the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, Russia. Originally from Austin, Texas, she began her dance training at the age of seven and has studied with renowned teachers from around the world, developing a strong foundation in both classical ballet and contemporary dance.

At just sixteen years old, Ms. Alexandra was selected to attend the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, where she excelled and was invited to advance directly into the graduating class. Following her graduation, she returned to the United States to teach classical ballet and character dance while continuing to compete at a high level. Her achievements include top honors at the Playa del Carmen International Ballet Competition, National Ballet Competition, and Washington DC Grand Prix.

Ms. Alexandra has performed professionally as a guest artist throughout Texas and Southern California and danced with the City Ballet of San Diego, where she also served on the artistic and administrative staff. She was the Director of San Diego Danceworks' Pointe Program, staging productions and coaching dancers for competitions. She has also toured internationally with the International Classical Ballet of Ukraine, performing throughout France, Germany, and Switzerland.

With experience in ballet, pointe, character dance, folk dance, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and many other dance styles, Ms. Alexandra brings both versatility and passion to the classroom. Since beginning her teaching career in 2016, she has received numerous choreography awards at regional, national, and international competitions. She is dedicated to inspiring dancers of all ages while fostering strong technique, artistry, confidence, and a lifelong love of dance. Ms. Alexandra is excited to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with the students and families of Fantasy Dance School.
