Dear loyal Dancers and Parents,
Here is an update on the difficult path of our new studio, which will become the new home of Fantasy Dance Studio!
We are renovating and constructing the existing 9,600 SF structure on the property. It will house four state-of-the-art dance studios, big gym, art classroom, along with increased parking. The new space is located at 2500 Old Middlefield Way, Mountain View, CA 94043, which is less than 5 minutes from our previous space. Our new location will allow us to expand our services, and continue the level of excellence you’ve come to expect from FDS.
We are currently working with the City of Mountain View, which has been its own challenge, in terms of providing site plans, submitting for permits, etc. to get the work done. We are doing our very best to move this forward as soon as possible, the wheels of change turn slower at the city, so we are at their mercy in terms of getting everything approved in order to finish the remodeling and start classes. While we had hoped that for enough time to make this renovation, unfortunately, it is taking a little longer. We are fortunate with an excellent contractor; they work quickly and efficiently. As soon as we have the permits from the city for all the upgrades to the parking lot, trash enclosure, parking striping, etc, in 2-3 weeks we will be able to start classes.
We, honestly, are looking forward to the next twenty years of FDS,
as we grow into this new space. We are certain that our amazing families will jump on board, and that this move will lead toward the next phase of not just incredible arts opportunities for our kids, but the continued bonds of community as well.
