Ms. Alyssa Flippen

Ms. Alyssa Flippen started dancing at the age of 8 years old at Fancy Dancin’ in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. She started recreationally in tap and jazz. Her family moved between Minnesota and Tennessee multiple times, and she continued to dance wherever she went. At the age of 13 years old, she started dancing competitively. Throughout middle and high school, she learned new styles such as lyrical/contemporary, ballet, pointe, hip hop/jazz funk, musical theater, modern, and some ballroom.

Ms. Alyssa graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2023 with a double major in Neuroscience and Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development while minoring in French. She continued dancing in a pre-professional contemporary company called Crash Dance Productions 2 in Minneapolis, Minnesota (2019-2023). While in this company, she performed in at least 3 shows each year after learning multiple pieces as well as choreographing. Throughout her career, she assisted and taught classes in mainly contemporary and hip-hop styles. However, she also assisted classes in other styles, such as ballet, tap, and jazz. Her favorite part of dancing is connecting to fellow dancers in exploring movement.

She joined the team at Fantasy Dance School in 2023. She is excited to join our team as she continues learning, teaching, and spreading love for dance to students at Fantasy Dance School.
