Ms. Sorina’s teaching career began as a student at the State Pedagogical University “Ion Creanga,” from Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. Initially, her specialty is Primary Education and Choreography. In 2002, after graduating from the university, she began her work at “George Calinescu” High School until 2017, where she grew personally and professionally. In 2005, after graduating from the State Institute of Continuing Education, her career was marked by an important milestone, conferring the Teaching Degree II.

During these years, working in the institution, she took part in various contests and competitions in both municipal and republican phases. Together with her colleagues and students, she organized for both primary and secondary stages quizzes

(based on students’ knowledge of the civilization of the English-Speaking Countries: The United Kingdom, The USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand), contests, expositions of the pupil’s works and wallpapers during the Foreign Languages Decade and on other occasions and holidays. Continuing her professional development, in 2012 she received the title of “The Teacher of the Year” at “George Calinescu” High School. In 2017, her Lesson-Plan took the 1st prize at the Public Lesson-Plan Municipal Contest. From 2010 till 2017 she was a member of National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation from Ministry of Education, Culture, and Research of the Republic of Moldova and examined students’ tests during their national exams. From 2015 till 2017 she worked as a lecturer at “Linguata” School of Foreign Languages at Free International University of Moldova. Ms. Sorina loves teaching young children; it’s a great privilege for her to help them grow and develop their inquiring minds. 

At FDS Ms. Sorina is responsible for overseeing all the administrative duties in all fields: the dance department, gymnastics department, and after-school program.
