Preschool Program
Mommy/Daddy & Me Gym Class
18 months old to 3 years old
Children ages 18 months to 3 years old can join in the fun with a little help from an adult friend in our M/D & Me classes. This class offers age-appropriate lessons in creative movement through the use of music, playful games, parachutes, hula hoops, obstacle courses and sealed down gymnastic equipment. Children will get a chance to learn how their body works by jumping on a trampoline, climbing on mats, rolling down inclines, walking across balance beams, hanging on bars, and sliding down slides. The parent/adult assists the child under the supervision of the instructor to learn safe, developmental gymnastic techniques, utilizing pre-school mats and shapes in a mildly structured setting. They are introduced to a variety of gross motor skills including throwing, catching, rolling, kicking, swinging as well as balance and flexibility. Students MUST have an adult participate with them.
Tiny Gym Class
3 - 4 years old
Tiny Gym classes are 45-minute co-educational classes for toddlers 3 and 4 years old. Participants must be potty trained in order to register for this class! These classes work on more advanced motor skills and require the social skills necessary to stay in line and follow directions. During this class, toddlers will get a chance to try the beginning stages of both men's and women's gymnastics skills, shapes, strength, and flexibility. The preschool group will participate on the floor, beam, bars, and tumble track. And, of course, we still save a little time in the end for playtime!
