Zoom Class Policy 

If you elect to take your dance classes online via zoom, we ask that you please abide by the following Zoom Class Policies and Procedures: 

  • Create a zoom account for the student. Please make sure that the name on the screen is the student’s own name so that teachers can easily take attendance. 

  • It is the student’s own responsibility to log into Zoom. Please assist younger children with this; FDS staff will not contact you if you miss a class and no make-up classes will be provided. 

  • Please try your best to provide students with a safe, comfortable, and quiet space in which they can dance. 

  • Students must have their cameras turned on at all times. The camera must be showing the whole body, not just the face of the student. It is not the teacher’s responsibility to consistently remind students to adjust their camera. 

  • Please feel free to reach out to our staff if any issues arise (network connectivity issues, broken camera, etc.). This is an adjustment for all parties involved, and we thank you for your patience. 

  • Please ensure that that the student is ready with their hair, dance attire, and shoes at the beginning of class. 

  • Late Pick Up and Fees
    The FDS After School Program "Rising Stars" closes at 6:00 p.m. If a parent finds that he/she will be late, he/she is required to make arrangements for an authorized adult to pick up the child and to notify the FDS After School Supervisor regarding the change of time and person. Five (5) late pick-ups in a fiscal year may result in After School Program services being discontinued. When a child has not been picked up and no parent contact has been received, the following steps may be taken: The staff will try to contact the parent. The staff will contact persons on the emergency card and ask them to pick up the child immediately. If student is not picked up within 15 minutes of their last class, a $15 late pick up fee will be assessed followed by an additional $5 for every 5 minutes after. Since FDS’s lobby will remain closed during California’s Orange and Yellow Risk Levels, it will be critical to uphold this policy to maintain the safety of our dancers.
  • Transportation
    NOTE* At this time, we will temporarily not be offering transportation from your student’s school to our facilities due to COVID-19 regulations and guidelines. Further monitoring on these guidelines and safety will be maintained until we are ready to offer this service. FDS provides transportation for kids from their school right to our doors. In other words, you can have peace of mind that your most important person in the world stays safe, door to door. If families chose to enroll in our Transportation services, we will only pick up your child during the school hours listed in the enrollment form. If case of any emergency that may occur at your student’s school that require earlier pickup, the parent(s) or guardian(s) is responsible for that pick up. Fantasy Dance School will only provide the transportation from the school address listed in the enrollment form during the time listed to the Fantasy Dance School facility. If, for any reason, Fantasy Dance School, is not able to pick up the student due to an emergency, parent(s) or guardian(s) will be contacted as soon as possible. If choosing to enroll in our Transportation services, fees for transportation must be paid in full at the same time as monthly tuition. Prorated rates will not be offered for any holidays or breaks in the student’s school schedule and Fantasy Dance Studio will not pick up from a student’s home address. A separate transportation liability form must be filled out and submitted before enrollment begins.
  • Homework
    Homework Help: Our after-care programs go well beyond homework help. Homework is an important aspect of our program. FDSASP "Rising Stars" will provide a minimum of 1 hour of homework time daily. Staff will provide a quiet environment and assist students to ensure that they complete their homework; however, Fantasy Dance School is not responsible for the accuracy or correctness of homework assignments.
  • Sign-In/Out Procedure and Policy
    FDS After School Program "Rising Stars" hours are based on the school's hours of instructions, Monday through Friday. The program would run until 6:00pm daily. Parent(s) must sign in and sign out their student each day participating in the FDS After School Program "Rising Stars". If transportation is being provided by Fantasy Dance School, a separate form will be required to sign which will replace the sign in for the student each day. Only parent(s), guardians, and individuals listed under Emergency Contacts in the Enrollment Form will be allowed to sign in and sign out their student. A form of ID, a driver’s license, may be presented or required during sign-in and sign-out.
  • Nutrition and Nut Free Environment
    Good nutrition is essential to maintaining quality health and supporting the learning capabilities of children. Our nutrition policies and practices support serving snacks of high nutritional quality. • After School Program provides a nutritional snack daily. Menu and snack time will be posted. • Please discuss any food allergies your child may have with your FDS After School Supervisor. Fantasy Dance School is and will remain a nut-free facility. If food or snacks are being brought from home or student’s school, parent(s) must check to ensure that foods do not have any nuts. Signage is posted around our school to remind our families of these policies; however, any allergies need to be reported in the enrollment form.
  • Enrichment
    The enrichment program is designed to create an atmosphere which will ensure each child's continued success and interest in learning. In planning the educational environment, we have taken into account the various ages of the children attending, the level of each child's development, and the ways in which children learn. We support children in becoming the kindest, most capable, and most resilient version of themselves. That means giving each child the space, encouragement, and materials they need to follow their passions—whether they want to start a dancing career, gymnastics club, or draw a comic book. No matter where their talents take them, we create positive communities of friends with games, projects, and creative arts, to keep kids happy, bright, and healthy.
  • 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
    5 days … $792/month 4 days … $720/month 3 days … $616/month Drop-In … $30/hour Tuition includes: Materials Extracurricular courses are taught by professional teachers trained in their field Snacks
  • Fees
    Enrollment Fee: $70 per student/$120 per family, which covers the cost of insurance and processing. This fee is a NON-REFUNDABLE PAYMENT.
