Alla Harea/Kegulskiy, Founder and Artistic Director. Ms. Alla was born in Chisinau, Moldova, in a bloodline of teachers, she is a teacher in the 4th generation. She earned with honor, her master’s degree in Fine Arts (MFA) with a specialization in choreography and qualification as a Ballet Master and Ballet Teacher, from The State Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts of the Republic of Moldova in 1996. Also, in 1991 Ms. Alla received a bachelor’s degree in elementary school and preschool Pedagogy and Psychology.

Ms. Alla has an outstanding passion for dancing, which she incorporated into her 43 years of experience as a dancer and a teacher.

 

Her credentials include several years of work with the “Joc” State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble of Moldova, The Moldova Opera & Music Theatre Company, the dance companies “Khora Mare,” “Martishor,” “Ciocirlia” and many others. These unique experiences allowed Ms. Alla to be introduced to some of the best choreographers in the world.

 

More background. Ms. Alla worked for six years at the “Ion Creanga” Pedagogical State University as a lecturer for Ballet and Teaching Technique. In 1998, for three years, Ms. Alla worked as artistic director at Vadul Lui Voda’s Assembly of music and dance, Republic of Moldova. Her dance career includes dance tours in about 30 countries. 

 

Since Ms. Alla moved to the USA, she has taught Ballet at “Peninsula Gymnastics” in San Mateo, California. In addition to dancing, she has extensive training in stage management, costuming, technical theatre, and graphic design.

 

Ms. Alla founded Fantasy Dance Studio in 2002.  Fantasy Dance Studio has grown from four students to more than two hundred families and keeps expanding to a big center. Ms. Alla has seen many of her students grow and develop into professional teachers, professional dancers, and choreographers.

 

Ms. Alla is exceptionally proud of the FDS staff, parents, and dancers for communally gathering Fantasy Dance Studio, a place of warm-heartedness, friendship, support, and teamwork.
