General Studio Rules

Good manners are welcome in our class.

Students should show respect when addressing to the teacher.

Students who dance in pair should thank each other after practice and concerts.

Please have students at the studio 10 (ten) minutes before their class. Please do not leave other children at the studio unattended. Please deliver and pick up students on time. Remember, we go home at night too!

Students who wish to enter a classroom after the lesson has started should:

Knock first before entering.
Apologize to the teacher and students for interrupting the class.
Take his or her place as quickly as possible.

If your child is going to be absent, please notify the teachers in advance. A good reason for missed class is due to illness. It is necessary for every student to have good attendance in order to progress and develop their dance skills.

Do not bring valuables to the studio. We will not be responsible for them.

Do not wear jewelry to class including watches. Please leave them at home.

There is no chewing gum permitted in the dance studio.

Please do not take food and/or drinks into the studio.

You are also responsible for the cleanup of any mess after you are finished.

Street shoes are not allowed to wear in the dance studios.

Students are responsible for damage caused to studio property. Treat the property of your fellow dancers the way you would like to have your property treated...with respect and care.

Dress code Regulations

To dance is to use the whole body. It is therefore necessary for a dance teacher to be able to clearly see the student's legs, arms, neck, hips, waistline, etc. This way, proper technique may be taught. We ask that students take care and pride in the way they prepare themselves to attend dance classes. As well as aiding the teachers, it will help them to be confident in themselves and their work.

The following is a list of the required outfits for each subject:

Girls:

Black leotard (short-sleeve bodysuit preferred), black dance TIGHTS, black dance skirt and dance shoes.
Black leotard or top, black fitted Jazz pants.

Boys:

Black T-shirt, black jazz pants or shorts. Shoes in the male style: jazz and ballroom.

Shoes : Jazz, Character, Ballroom, Ballet dance shoes.

Please remember to label all shoes and clothing with the student's name.

Hair for all classes must be tidy and tied back from the face if possible. Buns, French braids, and ponytails are recommended for dancing.

It would also be appreciated if you would ensure that you carry personal hygiene items with you at all times as well (deodorant, etc.). This list must be followed and it is suggested that students taking several classes in a row, bring a change of clothing for some classes.

PLEASE NOTE: TUITION is due the FIRST LESSON of EACH MONTH and does NOT deviate regardless of Holiday closures.

The studio does NO FORMAL BILLING unless account is overdue.

A REGISTRATION FEE is going to be applied to new students enrolled and it’s a one time non-refundable payment: 1 child is $75, FOR the 2nd child an additional $25 and for the 3rd child an additional $15, etc.

LATE FEES are as follows: Tuition received after the 10th - $25.00 late fee.

RETURNED CHECKS are subject to a $ 20.00 fee.

A PAYMENT BOX is located in the hall.

If payment is in CASH, be sure it is in a sealed envelope with the students name clearly marked for proper credit.

There will be no refunds and make-ups for missed classes.

There are no tuition reductions for students that go out of town or become ill.

If you wish to hold your place in class, tuition of minimum amount - $75 per family should be paid.

If you don’t pay the minimum amount you’ll lose the place in class. If you decide to come back then you have to enroll your child as a new student and pay the Registration Fee again. Your child is going to be placed in the class with available space!

Bring a friend to the class and you will get 50% off for the next month.
